dc.description.transcription | March 28th Dear Mr. Carter, I cant tell you how truly distressed we were to hear that Amon was missing. Ruth wrote to Paulina that there was reason to hope he might have been taken prisoner. One dare to hope this may be so, owing to so many weeks having gone by without worse news. I know a little what the suspense you are enduring is. You have my deepest sympathy. Very sincerely from Alice Longworth | |
