Apr. 4-43 St. Louis Mo. Dear Mr Carter, Yesterday I received your letter, and two letters from Donald dated Mar. 7-10. I was very sorry to hear, you had no further information about your son. I wrote Donald and ask him if he could tell us anything and when he answers I will let you know. I don't know if this would be of any information to you, or not, but in his letter he said his Colonel came back to the states, and that he was going to write to the officer's family. I don't know his name but when he writes, I will send you his name and address, then maybe you could get in touch with himm, and perhaps he could tell you something of your son. I hope you have news soon I remain Sincerly Mrs J Delaney
