dc.description.transcriptionFWB32DB93 D.NC505 NL PD=WUX TDN NORTHBEACH NY 25 AMON G CARTER= FORT WORTH STAR TELEGRAM FTW= FOR YOUR INFORMATION THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE WAS SENT TO ALL TRAFFIC MANAGERS AND MANAGERS OF OPERATIONS AND I BELIEVE YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED QUOTE AS OF SIX OCLOCK TONIGHT NEW YORK STATION FLEW ALL MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL MILEAGE SCHEDULED TODAY NOT PREVENTED BY WEATHER OR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AND EXPECTS TO CONTINUE TO DO SO. LIMITED SERVICE WAS RESUMED BETWEEN CINCINNATI AND CHICAGO AND BETWEEN STLOUIS AND CHICAGO AND NONSTOP NEW YORK TO CHICAGO. DETROIT STATION MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL WALKED OFF IN VIOLATION OF RAILWAY LABOR ACT EARLY THIS MORNING BUT THREE OF FOUR AIRPLANES STRANDED THERE HAVE SINCE BEEN FLOWN TO BUFFALO ON SCHEDULE AND THE X FOUTH ONE IS SCHEDULED TO LEAVE THIS EVENING. EXCEPT FOR THE FLIGHTS SERVICE BETWEEN BUFFALO AND DETROIT IS DISCONTINUED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE= = D.NC505 SHEET 2= LINE MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL MIDNIGHT SHIFT IN NEW YORK RETURNED LAST NIGHT IN INCREASING NUMBERS. THE DAY SHIFT INCREASED SLIGHTLY AND THE AFTERNOON SHIFT SHOWED MUCH INCREACH OVER YESTERDAY. ALL STATIONS EXCEPT CHICAGO DETROIT NEW YORK OPERATING COMPLETELY NORMAL. FOUR FEDERAL MEDIATORS HAVE NOW ARRIVED IN NEW YORK AND ARE IN CONFERENCE WITH VARIOUS PARTIES AT INTEREST. AMERICAN EXPORT RESUMED ALL MILITARY PARTIES AT INTEREST. THE FIRST SECTION OF EXPORTS INAUGURAL FLIGHT IS NOW EXPECTED TO RETURN TO NEW YORK NINE OCLOCK TONIGHT COMPLETING FIRST WESTBOUND TRANS-ATLANTIC TRIP. THIS MESSAGE AGAIN EXPRESSES MY APPRECIATION TO ALL PERSONS IN AMERICAN AIRLINES WHO ARE MAKING THIS FINE SHOWING POSSIBLE IN MAINTAINING SCHEDULES ON AMERICAN AIRLINES SYSTEM= RALPH S DAMON AMERICAN AIRLINES INC..
