dc.description.transcription | TO: MRS. E.A. HAYS 512 W MULKEY FT WORTH, 4 TEXAS FROM: F/O J.W.HAYS T-64121 707 52 446 68A.P.O. 558 C/O POST MASTER, N.Y. N.Y4-1-45Dear Folks,I don’t know whether to mark this day as a pleasant Easter Sunday, or as a pleasant April Fool’s Day. Anyhow it has been rather nice. Tom, Bob, and I got up at 6:00 so we could attend the sun rise services. Of course, the sun didn’t rise, due to a slight cloud cover but it was pretty nice anyway. The service was held outside on the athletic field and what do you know, it didn’t rain. I don’t remember whether I told you about it or not but last Easter, while I was in Greenville, Miss., I got up, and got down to sun rise services just as the meeting was breaking up. Did a little better this year and was five minutes ahead of time.As formy well being, I’m still healthy, wealthy due to pay day yesterday, and getting wiser every day. Still got a long way to go on that last score.Everyone’s letters are coming through great, but the packages ain’t doing so good. Maybe you had better send another box of cookies. Loads ‘o love, Joe.V-MAIL |
