dc.description.transcription4-20-45Dear Folks,After the invigorating game of catch Tom and I just played I’m in the mood to dash off a note. I’m afraid that a note will be all that it will be because nothing of interest worth relating has happened. The big news is that we have another 5 day pass coming up the 3,4,5,6, & 7thof May. Getting monotonous isn’t it. We won this one by contributing more money than any other crew toward a library that our division is buying for Norwich. Every crew was expected to give so much anyway so we thought that we might as well try for the prize since one was being given within our group. It cost us a few extra lbs. but I don’t think anyone on the crew regrets it. The only thing about so many passes is that it is rather difficult to complete a tour when you are on leaves all of the time. I won’t tell you how many missions I have but it ain’t many more than it was the last time I reported. My mail situation is still holding up splendidly. Mama I got your package with thecomb and the chapsticks. I already had a tube of camphor-ice but the little ones were taken off my hands pronto.I hate to quit so quick but there is no news and besides that it’s bed time and I’m tard. By the way, what’s the latest news from Rollen.Goodnight,I love you,Joe
