dc.description.transcription | TO: MRS. E.A. HAYS 512 W. MULKEY FT. WORTH, 4, TEXASFROM: 2NDLT. J.W. HAYS 0-2018409 707 SQ. 446 68 A.P.O.558 C/O POSTMASTER, N.Y.N.Y.4-29-45Dear Folks,Before I go any farther you might check my new address. Only a minor change but a change nevertheless. It happened yesterday afternoon at 1530.The reason I’m dashing off this quick V-mail is to tell you about our pass. It’s been moved up a day, making it start on the second, and it’s to last for 8 days instead of five. This has happened because we got our regular monthly 3 day passhooked on to the five day one that we won.Tom and I have definitely decided that we are going to Bournemouth. The rest of the crew is going to London but I’m going to pass through there as fast as possible. You may think that there is no rush in my telling you since this is only the 29th, but we may get to take off at any time. I’ll write from Bournemouth U.S.O. tonight that I’m going to attend.Love,Joe | |
