dc.description.transcription3-25-43Dear Folks,Just a line to let you know that I am still here. I am still on the shipping list, and I will be among those that leave here next. I haven’t had my physical yet and I won’t get it before 7:30 in the morning if then. We are confined to barracks but that is all. We don’t know where we are going or when. You ought to hear the latrine rumors that float around here. One minute we are going north, the next south, the next east, and the next west. Really no one knows. If you get a chance ask Charles C. if he got a letter from me, and if he did to announce it. If he didn’t I’ll write another one. Don’t any one else write me though because the letter would probably get lost chasing me around, that is if I ever go any place.I got three letters day before yesterday, one from Papa, one from Jack Cameron, and one from Amy with some corn plasters in it.I’ll drop you a line every day until I leave. The day I leave I’ll either phone or wire if time permits.Love,Joe
