dc.description.transcription6-12-44Dear Folks,Today, this morning at 0915 to be exact, I was in the “wild blue yonder” again for the first time in 19 days. Only this time I did not go up in an airplane but instead a B-24boxcar. That thing flys like old “Willie” runs. All of the pilots who have flown it for any length of time are crazy about it, maybe I will be toosomeday but I still want a P-38. I also flew the link trainer for two hours and had an hour of P.T. today. My scheduled day was only 12 hours long, with 2 off hours during the day. Not too bad. I’ll have the same kind of a day tomorrow but the next day classes start but then flying and link trainer let up a little bit so I don’t think that this place will get me down too much. The “mainest” problem around here is gettingup. So I have a request to make. If one of those alarm clocks at home is extra, I’m sure that I can find good use for it here. If one of them belongs to Ruth there isn’t an extra one so don’t go sending me one that you need yourself. I can get one in Mexico for a nominal fee so don’t send me something that you need yourself. “Is that clear?” There is no use hunting for one either because there isn’t an alarm clock for sale in the United States or Texas. There is nothing else to report so I am going to cut this short and hit the sack.Notice slight addition to address.Love,Joe
