dc.description.transcription1-25-45Dear Folks,I’m alternating between U mail and airmail so that you can find out which travels the fastest. When you find out tell me so I can concentrate on one or the other. This has been another one of those days. If it wasn’t so coldI would think that I was at pre-flight at Maxwell Field Alabama. By the time I start flying again someone may have to teach me all over again. I did fly the Link Trainer for an hour ontwo separate occasions so maybe I can stay in practice that way. I’m really not too anxious to fly but if I don’t fly 4 hours in the next six days I won’t get any flight pay this month. I don’t guess it makes any difference because there is no place to spend any moneyexcept in London and passes to London are few and far between.I haven’t made any requests for anything to be sent to me because I haven’t needed anything. You might want to send me something sometime so here is the system I’m going to use. When I want something in particular I’ll ask for it and when I’m requesting just to be requesting I’ll ask for cookies. Don’t forget now and send cookies every time I ask for them. While I’m thinking about sending things I have three souvenirs from the boat that I came over on. One is a menu, the other is a room assignment, and the other is a mess sitting order. I’ll enclose one in each of my next three letters. Also as soon as it’s possible I’ll send those six crew pictures I have. The truth of the matter is I don’t have them. Vinski has them in one of his bags that hasn’t caught up with us yet. I also have 2 bags that are somewherein England that I ain’t. My mail should start catching up with me before long. Tommy got some today that followed him from Topeka. Of course as you know I won’t have any from Topeka. I got just a little lazy there and didn’t write many letters during my stay. In fact I think I can be safe in saying that I didn’t write any don’t you? I didn’t mention it in my last letter but my A.P.O. has been changed. Its about time for lights out so I’ll sign off for now.All my love,Joe
