dc.description.transcription | TO: MRS. E.A. HAYS 512 W MULKEY FT WORTH, 4 TEXAS FROM: F/O J.W.HAYS T-64121 707 52 446 68 A.P.O. 558 C/O POST MASTER, N.Y. N.Y.2-24-45Dear Folks,I’m a weary child tonight so this will just be a short line to let you know that all is still well. When I got in this afternoon I had acouple of very welcome letters waiting for me. One was a joint one written by both Mama and Papa and addressed to this address. It was dated Feb. 6, not too bad. The other was from Jack Cameron, written from Somewhere in Germany. He had just returned froma pass to Gay Paríe and seemed in the best of spirits. There are some pigeons connected with his unit and he told me about them. The weather around here is continuing to be pretty good all of which suits me just fine. I haven’t seen the first robin yet but expect to any day now. When and if you get time will you send me some Vaseline hair oil and some cookies. That’s all for tonight.Love, Joe[V-MAIL] | |
