dc.description.transcription | TO: MRS. E.A. HAYS 512 W MULKEY FT WORTH, 4 TEXASFROM: F/O J.W.HAYS T-64121 707 52 446 68 A, R6558 C/O POST MASTER, N.Y. N. Y.3-6-45Dear Folks, This is going to be just one of those lettersto let you know that all is still well and good on my end of the line. I don’t want Ruth and Iris jumping on me saying “He could at least write a post card.” I’m just kidding because I haven’t heard that for about a year now. I got three letters yesterday, one from Amy, and two from Mama written cross ways on one of these U mails. You know that bicycle I was bragging about. Well I sold it for 6 lbs., that’s 1 lb. profit if you’ll remember. I’m going to town one of these days and buy me a new one. The new ones cost 8 lbs. but they are worth it. This is a pretty big port and its rather hard to get around sometimes when the busses aren’t running. Maybe I’ll have something worth telling next time but now all I can send is my love,Joe | |
