O: MRS. E.A. HAYS 512 W MULKEY FT WORTH, 4 TEXAS FROM: F/O J.W.HAYS T-64121 707 52 446 68 A, R6558 C/O POST MASTER, N.Y. N.Y.3-22-45Dear Folks,How’s everything this fine Spring day around the neck of the woods that you happen to be situated in. Around here everything is o.k. and even the birds are singing. The main reason everything around hereis o.k. is that I’m going on a five day pass starting immediately. That is the main reason I’m writing this quickie, to let you know not to look for a letter from me for about a week. By the way I’ve been writing about two letters a week, hope you’ve been getting them. My mail has slowed down a little but so has everyone else’s. It will pick up in a few days. Mama, do me a favor and write Grace, or tell Brother to, and tell her I got both her letters and that I’ll answer as soon as I get back from my pass.Love to all,Joe
