N.Y.Dear Folks,I just got through dashing off a V mail to Iris so I’ll see if I can’t do the same for you. The reason for the extra time comes because our crew is in charge of group watch today. It is a 24 hour job with the four officers of the picked crew splitting the time. The duties are more or less secret so I can’t tell you anything about it.I got six letters yesterday, four from Mama, and one each from Amy and Ruth, and four a couple of days ago that I haven’t mentioned heretofore. Ask Iris if that is a good legal word. The weather situation is terrific. I do believe spring has already gone because it has been quite airish for the past few days. Mama, you said for me to request something so will you send me a box of cookies. All my love for this time,JoeV-MAIL
