dc.description.transcription6-7-45Hello again from England. I don’t know how many more times I can say that but for the time being it is still the truth. Dates have been set and reset for our departure, one of the original ones in post and we are still here. It really shouldn’t be too long but don’t hold your breath. The truth of the matter is I am fully expecting to eat watermelon on the Fourth of July in Trinity Park. Have one chilled then will you.The mail situation has improved on this end of the line and so has the package situation. I got three packages yesterday and they aren’t all gone. I haven’t even opened the one from Grace but the ones from Mama and Gert are both about half gone. We are still sitting around doing next to nothing and I am getting tired of it. I almost forgot to tell you I’ve been to London again. Tom, Bob, and I got in there at 0130 one morning and left at 1500 the next afternoon. My mission was to buy a foot locker. Mission accomplished I returned. We came back to Norwich, saw a play, and returned to thebase one hour before our 30 hour pass was up. This was undoubtedly my most enjoyable visit to the Big City.In case you are wondering my mail receiving is pretty much up to date. I’ve gotten my birthday card from Amy, Mama’s letters with the clippings, and Ruth’s with the cartoons. This takes care of everything worth talking about for now so I’ll sign off until the next time. All my love,Joe
