dc.description.transcriptionDear Mr. Carter: I have just finished reading the "demand made upon you by Gov. "Ma" Ferguson, to resign as Chairman of Board of Regents, Texas Tech." My word to you is Stay on the goal. I know nothing of the ball game affair, but she is no better than I am and I say stay at home if you cant stand a little hurrahing. Please be referred to the newspaper clipping since she intimates that you were drunk. I have never had the opportunity of meeting you, I have read a great deal of you since I have been almost a continuous sub-[illegible] to your proper [illegible] 1919, [illegible] moving here I have not been reading the Telegram because of the train schedule the proper is a day [illegible]. So far as I am unable to [illegible] no one is paying attention to "ma" "Hurrah for Dan" Sincerely Yours W. A. Fincher Manayer.
