dc.description.transcriptionFebruary 11, 1944: Dearest Mother, Have had 66letters from you so far. Sure hope the party you mentioned is soon, can't wait much longer. Am getting along fine. Now weight about 148, the reason I have so much is we have plenty to eat. Am still waiting for November food parcel. Lots of them already here. Need some black pepper and if possible, matches. Please don't read "cosmopolitan" anymore because it's wrong. Give my love to everyone. Amon Jr.
