dc.description.transcription | Sept 18, 1944 Dearest Dad, Another 100 officers have just arrived from France and here are the names of 6 from Texas. They would appreciate all the information you can give their next of kin: Lt. Herbert M. Pike 6222 Indiana Ave, Weslaco, Lt Clarence H Brown, 2102 Driscoll, Houston, Lt OT Ziegler, Box 176 Hooks Capt. O G Hart 608 E. 17th St, Big Spring, Wife's address Mrs. OC Hard % WE Henderson, Venus, Texas. LT Fred C Ostrander from San Antonio, notify Mrs. FC Ostrander, 538 Chestnut Aver, Redlands California, LT Philip D McIntyre, 1705 Montana, El Pas. Sure wish we had overcoats and American blankets and clothes to give them because it is already getting cold. We now have over 700 here. Received letters from Katrine with more pictures of rodeo. Also Ruth in her new uniform. Really have swell collection of pictures now. Am out of cigars and don't expect anymore. Give my love to everyone and tell them I'll see them soon.
