Sept 28, 1944 Dearest Mother, So far have had 137 of your letters, latest one written July 22. No mail from anyone in a month and no parcels in 3 months and I don't expect anymore. 100 more officers due here and that will make 300 with no US overcoats and blankets. Cannot understand why the RC hasn't sent anything. We haven't seen their representative in 5.5 months. In 2 weeks we are out of food parcels. Lots of love, Amon Jr.
