Breckenridge, Aug. 24, 1885. My dear Sallie: When I wrote you from Seymour I did not expect to leave there till today. But Sat. just as I had eaten dinner Bro. Marberry drove up after me. He had driven all night and till morn. to get to me_ 80 miles. So I left my meeting unfinished at Seymour, we started about 2 o’clock to come 80 miles in time to begin meeting yesterday. We drove to Throckmorton 35 miles for supper, then drove all night and reached here just at day light. I lay down and slept about two hours. We had a large crowd yesterday and an immense one last night. Three additions last night. I am feeling pretty well this morning. Have to preach under an arbor, and don’t know how long I can hold up at it. I am getting a little home sick. The time passes slowly. I left my meeting for Bro. Franthing and Bro. Bedford to finish at Seymour. I was very sorry to leave I am sure there would have been several other additions. We were getting all the people nearly in town to come out to our meeting. May the dear Father bless you all. Aff- A. Clark
