dc.description.transcription | Hood Co, Texas _____ 188_ My dear Addison, I reckon Jessie is improving some but she dont seem to gain any strength. I still have to lift her around, as if she was a babe. I don’t think she has any fever today, we gave Quinine last night and this morning to keep the fever off. She is so hard to wait on. I cant fix any thing to eat that pleases her. I feel tired and worn out, lifting her has caused me to suffer some this week. She says tell you to send her peaches. You did not tell me what to do with your mail. Where must I get things, Beavers, or Rawlins. you ought to appreciate Addie’s letter he has been all evening writing it, please excuse this the little folks are pulling at me so I cant write any more. Affectionately Sallie |
