dc.description.transcriptiondec. 2 1944 517 vance St. Taylor, Texas Mr. Amon Carter Fort Wroth Star Telegram Fort Wroth, Texas Dear Mr. Carter, In replay to your letter of December1, I wish to thank you for the clipppings about the 36th invasion at Salem in Nov. and Dec. 1943. I know with the paper shortage that your files are quckly depleleted of back numbers, but if you can get all of Sept. and Nov. 20, 27, 30, Dec. 4, 29 Jan 311, Feb 1, 27, 28 and March 1, 27. I will cetainly appreciate it Mr. Carter and won't trouble you again. I'm enclsoing enough I hope to pay for them in case you are able to fine them for me. Do you still have in your files copies of the 2 Sudnay papers that you can a feature storry on the Salerno Landing. I don't have the date. I'e no news of Ivan now, 3 words today. I have all his mail up to Aug. 28th. His mother received a card this last week August 31st, Nautrally I'm curoius for later news Always!
