Dear Mr. Carter, We deeply appreciate you kind thoghtfulness by letter and telegram. They give us temporary peace of mind, we had been unable to devise any satisfaction from catered rumors. Surely the Germans do no harm to our boys! Am sure you too had received labels goverment for regular package for nearest of kin, for Oflag 64 address, trusting the proper post, Red Cross (or whomever) authorities, know of this change of camp address I am continuing to write him to the same address. Am I too hopeful or optimistic? My! how quickly the the letter came to the woma in Buffalo. Dated January 18th! He, like you, have been receiving mail dated October, November, and a letter came to us Saturday dated November. We shall appreciate any further information should you receive it. With received hope that we shall hear soon, directly from our boys, as we pray for their safety. Sincerely, Mrs. Roy J. Chappell
