dc.description.transcription | My Dear Mother,
I am afraid Ididn’t tell you fully how much we appreciated every thing you sent. I know I forget to say that the eggscame through all right and we were very glad to get them. They are sohighhere we cant think of buying them. The pieswere very good and so is the cake although there isntmuch of it now. The ham is excellent but then youknow my weakness for ham.We had some soupyesterday with some of the potatoesand tomatoes in it and it was fine. Bessie made some graham biscuitlastnight for supper which were verygood. We ate all the biscuityou sent at a rapidrate. We will have the macaroni Sunday I guess. We wonthave to buy much nowbefore Christmas. I am very glad it isnt long until we can go home. I wish father could find some good friendthat would give him a pass to come home on Christmas. He ought to see if he cantfind one.Much loveZemmie. | |
