dc.description.transcriptionDear Mr. Carter: today I received a letter form my husband Lt. Ed Erwin, a prisoner of Oflag 64 and he said you son was there with him and for me to write you for some details of the cam. SO I thought you might be able to tell me something of the camp conditions, how often they can write, and any little detail you might want to tell me. I would always be indebted to you for this. Lt. Erwin was reported missing last Sept. 6, just ten day sbefror eour daughter Ann was born. He still doesn't know th ebaby is a little girl. My latest letters form him was dated Dec 10 and he was just finhe. He and the Red Cross have me a list of articles he needs most and I made up his parcel by the list.
