dc.description.transcription | Dear Sir: I received a clipping taken from the Boston Adv. Today telling how your son lt. Amon Carter Jr. was rescued by correspondent Frank Bonniff from the German prison camp at Lucken walde Germany. My son was a prisoner at that camp and we have heard nothing from him yet execpt a card his name is Pfc John J. Fitzpatrick Co. G 310 INFT he is missing since Dec. 16th 1944. If you son has any information on the conditions of that camp of of the health of the soliders there or if they will be coming home in the near future I would be very glad to ehar from you or him. The reason I am addressing this letter to you is that if I addressed it to your son he may not be home yet and it would take a lot of time before I could get an answer. I can't imagine how thrilled you must have been when he was brought to you . I am anxiously counting the days until I see my boy. Thanking you in anticiption of getting some nwes of that prison camp. I am Sir yous Sincerely, Sylvester Fitzpatrick | |
