April sixth 1943: Dear Mr. Carter, we were learning for New York when the florist called telling me you had ordered some flowers sent to me. They held the order over until our return. The big box has just come filled with lovely spring slowers. I have arranged them myself in the living room quite gay with all the colors and sweetness of them. I appreciate so much your thoughtfulness. Jess and I are hope and praying for news of your two boys - yours and ours. I believe firmly that this news will come to us soon. Very Sincerely, Mary Gibbs Jones
