Jan 9 , 1941 Dear Mr. Carter: I have intended to write ever since I received the call from our office last month, to thank you for delivering my husband's messsage. Any little piece of news we wives receive is such a reief. Before we received your call we had decided that the boys were on their way to Africa. It undoubtedly was a grea pleasure for you to have had a visit with Lt. Carter as we all know how wonderful it would be to see the boys again soon. We had a word a few das after Christmas from another officer that or boys had arrived the twenty first. I received a letter today from Captain Malless writteen Christams Day, saying they had a rough trip five or six days and were quite sea sick. Mr. Carter, I wanted you to know how very much appreciate the trouble and sonsideration you went to so that I could hear from my husband. Sincerely, Mabell Malless
