dc.description.transcription | Elizabethtown, KY January 1, 1943 My Dear Mrs. Carter, Words cannot express my appreciation for the telephone call I received from you regardin my husband, Michael Maras. After you called I couldn't speak for quite a while because I was so stunned. So thanks, again, for your wonderful messages. I was reading in "Newsweek" day before yesterday and saw your husband's picture taken in London. I thought perhaps you would like to know about it. Mrs. Carter, should anythiing appear in your paper about the 91st would it be possible for you to drop me a note so I can send for the paper? I thought packagess would be something since Mr. Carter is never there now. Thanks again, Mrs. Carter an let's hope and pray this new year, 1943, will bring our boys safely home. Respectfully Yours, Imogene Maras | |
