dc.description.transcriptionThorp Spring,Nov. 26, 1893.Dear Brother:Today I went to the dinner table the first time since last Sunday. I am very week [sic] and hardly see how I can begin work tomorrow,but Carlie can’t spare the time from his studies any longer. -He got along very well last week and likes teaching very much. I was afraid undertaking such a task for the first time would turn him against teaching. We want to find a school together next session and Bessie will go with us and help. This is our plan for next year –I don’t know our carrying it. We will do our best to. –If we do we will keep house and Bessie will carry on her studies with us until we are able to send her of some where. Don’t say anything about this in your home lettersfor we have not spoken of it to papa yet. Bessie does no good in school here –and I would send her some wherenow were I able. I am trying to be very saving this session,but there are so many calls and mama and the children often need money. I feel like I ought to pay my board for I do nothing to earn it, and I wish they would let me.I can’t teacheightychildren again for $50 a month. Blanche came to see me nearly every afternoon last week, -she and Flora are the only friends I have.Carlie is a very popular boy among the girls and boys too –nearly every one likes him. Miss Mand Reed is his favorite among the girls, though he hasn’t a regular girl. I am too tired to write more now, will try again this week. Think of us ThanksG-Much love,Sister
