dc.description.transcriptionDear Mr. Carter: My son Srt. Wilfred F. Piper of Forth worth now stationed with the 5th air force in new Guinea and a resident of your city writes so often about your boy. He knew before I did about his plight in Germany and I want to ask a favor of you. I am making scrap books for him on my fifth now - and I would appreciate a picture of your boy for my scrapbook either a photo or clipping. He has a cousin who is a prisoner of war in Germany as Statag 7A. Across his letters are written these words. KRIEGSGEFANGENE POST with the instructions as to the senders name and address enclosed is a little Guinea Gold paper published for the boys there. I will greatly appreciatea photo of you paper if it is not too much to ask. Give my best regardsto my old friend Webb Walker. I am a native of FTW gone Dallas wrong. Rube Roe Piper
