dc.description.transcription205 Spring St. Shelbyville, Tenn. 10 May 1945 Dear Mr. Carter- I am taking this occasion to thank you for the letters of encouragement and information you so graciously and generously sent my wife while I was a prisoner of war in the same camp with your son. I sincerely hope that your son is back home with you or at least that you have had welcome and good news of him.
