San Antonio, Texas March 21, 1945 Mr. Amon G. Carter, Ft. Worth, Texas. Dear Mr. Carter: Just had the most wonderful news! I have received a telegram from the War Department saying that my husband Captain Richart has been released from the Prisoner of War Camp. Certainly hope that your son was also one of those lucky fellows who have been released! I am really happ - naturally! Thanks again for your letter - without it I would not have known that he had been moved - and before he was moved he was in a camp in Southern germany - away from the Russians! Thought you would be glad to hear my good news. Perhaps, by now you have had some of the same. Sincerely yours, Mrs S. D. Richart
