P.O. Box 185 Amherst, Texas. Jan. 18, '31. Mr. Amon G. Carter Fort Worth Texas. My dear Mr.Carter:- I have read in the "Star-Telegram" of Will Rogers' entertainment on behalf of the unemployed. I'm wondering if there is any way that you can send a small amount of the proceeds to our little town. Since the "pulling" of "bollie" cotton is about over the situation is becoming quite acute. It seems that in a small town the situation is the worst of all - there is absolutely no work attainable for many people. I shall appreciate an answer to this communication either to me or to local chamber of commerce. yours very truly, Mrs. Lester LeGrange
