Austin, Texas, July 11, 1943 Mr. Amon G. Carter, Ft. Worth Texas, Dear Mr. Carter: In answer to your letter of April 7, I wish to thank you for the information forwarded me, concerning my husband Captain Julian G. Saldivar. I was sorry indeed to hear that you have a son reported missing in action. But since have heard that he too is reported a prisoner of war. I know that it was a great relief of mind for you. Knowing that he is alive. Of course it is hard knowing that they are prisoners of our enemies, but the help of God, may all our men return home again one day. Thank you again for your most highly appreciated letter. I remain, Sincerely yours, Mrs. JG. Salvidar.
