April 21st Sweetwater, Tex Mr. Amon Carter Ft. Worth, Tex., Dear Mr. Carter, My mother says you were responsible for the nice write up and picture of me, which was in the last week's paper. I was really happy to win the contests over Bob Croaby and appreciate the write up very, very much. The Foot. Worth Star Telegram has always given me such nice mentioning and pictures which helps one when they are rodeo-in. Another thing, I want you to know glad I was to hear your son was alive. Much better like this than if he were dead. I shall never forget what a good looking boy and nice boy he was. Missed the stockyards so much this spring. It just haven't' seem right far March to pass, without coming down there for the stockyards and rodeo. Maybe in won't be too long until we can return to our normal living. Again, may I say thanks for your consideration and thanks for all the past favors, you have done for me. Sincerely, Fern Sawyer Ps. Still am wearing the Last you gave me and still wish as I was when you gave them to me. F.S.
