dc.description.transcription15 Aug 43 Mr. Amon G. Carter, Ft. Worth, Texas. Dear Mr. Carter, This is a very belated note to thank you for the copies of Amon's letters and the newspaper article about him. I hope that you and he can communicate regularly and that his letters are reassuring as possible under the circumstances. I know his happy disposition is a fine influence among those with him. He is a fine boy and you can well be proud of him. I hope it is will be my lot to be Amon the forces that liberate all the prisoners and particularly those of the 1st Armored divisions. It's always a pleasure to hear from you and of Amon Jr. Mrs. Summerall joins me in warm regards, sincerely, CP Summerall, Jr.
