Dear Mr. Carter: I have had no more news of Maj. Swindler. Associated press says he is on a oat on his way home newscast. In Ohio last Sat said he had landed Friday an was on a plane to Texas which proved false of course an article in an Easter news paper said some had reported to the front again. This is what he would do if given a choice I'm sure. If you read the latest Red Cross prisoners of War Bulletin you will find your son mentioned in the article about Oflag 64. Sincerely, Mrs. Swindler Mr. Amon Carter c/o Fort Worth Star Telegram Fort Worth Tex
