July 8, 1943. Mr. Amon G. Carter, Fort Worth, Texas. My dear Mr. carter : I want to thank you for the copy of the menu aboard the ship when you last saw our boys. This will have first place in my place treasure book. Dr. Talbot and I do greatly appreciate all that you have done for Green. The happiness and encouragement you gave him and many other boys from here will always be a dear fond memory for them and of equal comfort and pleasure to the families at home. I am sure all must feel, as we do, very grateful to you! With best wishes I am, Rose A. Talbot (Mrs. W.O. Talbot)
