December 6, 1944 Dear Florian, The two food parcels you sent me in May arrived to-day and you will never know how much they mean to me, espceially since we have been out of Red Cross parcels for eight weeks. I am saving the hams for a big Christmas feast for 8 of my friends. We now have 1150 officers here, so you can see how our camp has grown. Have had nice letters from Mimi & Lucy and they are fine. Many thanks again for the swell packages. Hope you have a Merry Xmas. Sincerely, Amon Carter Jr.
