Feb 3, 1944 Dear Sir: A few years ago I was attending the First Officers Training Camp reunion in Fort Worth and had the pleasure of attending a barbeque out at also having gotten to talk that night. In the years since that night I have often thoughts It's for the things you talked about and warmed us have happened with of cursed many more things. Mr. Carter never did I dream that night of how else we might become? I can never express in words my appreciation of what you have done for us. There is something ways deep down in nor hearts that burring and enjoy and thanks and only with that I might in some way let you know our feelings. Mr. Carter in our sorrow over the loss of our son, the load is made lighter by the many deed of kindness of our friends. We know your heart is heavy with thought of what your son Col. Carter is going thorough and hope that it will not be too long before you and he will again be together. Thank you again and again RH Torrence 2211 Barnard At. Waco Texas
