April 24 Dear Mr Carter, I just got word from my father in Monroe that Amon is in Germany. I suppose Pat R told him at least that is something to be thankful for. I roomed with Jack Hahel at Culver and we roomed right next to Amon and Antrim. I would surely like to hear what details are available and also his address in order that I may write him. I am now at a prep school, previous to enter infantry after school at Benning. Just returned from England in March. Got there in October. So must have been there while Amon was in Ireland. Please let me hear from you and let's hope that Amon will be back with us soon. Sincerely, Roger White.
