Dublin, Texas. 8-7-1944 Mr Amon G. Carter, Dear sir I'm writing in regards to our boys. Do you hear from your boy very often? We did for a while but we havent gotten any in so long. The last card was written April 26th and Doyle has never gotten a parcel or hadnt then. He said every old P.O.W in camp had except Him, He told us not to send any more to just send the labels back to the War department but of course we keep trying to get them to Him & cant understand why, we put the labels on them, He was sure blue about it. Do you reckon the Russians have taken them by now? Lets pray that they have. Mr Carter if you any late news of them I would appreciate it so much if you would let me know. Sincerely, Mrs. A. A. Yardley
