Carter Fort Worth Tex Kind Sir: Thanks so much for your kindness you have shown about our Boy as well as others we are all so anxious about those dear boys of ours: I received 3 cards also 1 letter from my son Theldon today cards were dated Jan 3 - letter dated Dec 31 - he asked for food package to be sent to him this is what he aske for 2 lbs (?) cake 2000 half grain saccahrin tablets 1/2 lb powdered coffee 2 lbs of 3 minute oatmeal 2 lbs pan cake flour 2 lbs of Bullion cubes 2 lbs powdered eggs 2 lbs Bakers chocklet he asked for such as this in nearly every letter he writes to us and so far he does not seem to hae ever gotten as much as a word from us altho we have written often and send it PKG to he wrote in one letter about getting a Red Cross Pkg said he had a case of beans first he had gotten since he was captured he also spoke of turkey he said they had good Books to read he had gone to church when he wrote our letter also had seen the show (George Washington slept here) also a play that was put on by the boys (you cant take it with you) said it was all male cast tho the (?) was recieved today. May God Bless and keep our boys untill they can come home I know God will Bless you for the good work you are doing thanks for your kindness to us Sincerely Mrs Lela Ziegler
