July 14th 1945 Mr. Amon G. Carter Fort Worth Star Telegram Fort Worth, Texas Dear Sir, I wish to express my deepest thanks for the kindness you and your son have shown to my parents and myself. You have a son in which you can justly take pride. I am happy to be able to say that I know such a person as he. While in Poland he and others of us tryed to form a sort of brotherhood for the Texas men who had been captured. Would sure like to know if he and any of the others wish to do anything about it. I know how busy you and he must be now and will understand if I recieve no answer from you. Again I wish to thank you for your kindness to my Father and Mother. Your friend Orpha T. Ziegler 1st Lt. C.E.
