Aug. 20 - 1935. Mr dear Amon. Lucy & I are sailing Saturday, on the Britanic Cunard liner - from N.Y. We are planning to make a jaunt through Ireland. Calidonia Hotel Spend four days in Edinburgh (from 12-16 of Sept.) and on to London where we will be at the Picadilly until the 6th of Oct. I regret very much not seeing you before we leave, as it seems like failing to say good bye to one of my own family. Amon dear my heart is sorely grieved over the death of Will Rogers, and if I who only knew him by proxy feel so deeply what must be the anguish of heart of those who had the unspeakable privilege or pleasure of close association. I know no one in all this whole world loved him better or will miss him more than you. I hope to see you soon after my return. Your visits are a comfort & pleasure. Lovingly Kate Stripling (Mrs. W. C. Sr)
