Nov 1-47 Dear Mr. Carter - With your usual thoughtfulness you have asked me to be present at the Will Rogers' Ceremony in Fort Worth on Thursday next. I am compelled to stay here on that date and cannot attend. I particularly wanted to be at this dedication because, as you will remember, I was present at the "Last Fronter" remembrance in 1936. Too, I would like to visit with you for selfish reasons - I mean to ask your advice about matters of personal interest to me. (?) I take this opportunity to congratulate you and Mrs Carter on your marriag. Sincerely Harry Crookes
