Nov 3/47 Friend Carter On my return from a short trip I find your kind invitation to the unveiling tomorrow of the monument to Wil Rogers. As a friend of his and a member of the group who raised the California tribute I would have enjoyed very much being with you on this occasion. Sorry, also, to miss the luncheon which, I know, will be an event to remember. With kind regards and best wishes, George G. Young
