January 2nd 1948 Dear Mr. Carter - Thank you ever so much for the program of the unveiling and presentation of the statue of Mr. Rogers. It was nice of you to remember us and we were very sorry we were unable to attend. Some one, from your wide state of Texas, sent us a large gift of grapefruit - this gift came addressed to us at my mother-in-laws address (16 Wayside Pt - Montclair) and there was no tag or name of sender on it. Can't think of any other person who might possibly have done this nice thing for us - so - in case it was you - thank you so very much - it was delicious. Our very best regards to you and thanks again. Sincerely Frances Raymond Hodgson
