Paris 23 July 51. Greatings Amon! Forrest Sherman's death yesterday shocked the people of France. He was Navy's liaison to the Civil Aeornatics Board in the pre-war days and was a personal friend. Europe is apprehensive of the possible failure of the Korean negotiations. I expect to be visiting my son-in-law (Jeff Montogmery) and my daughter in your city sometime in August and hope to see you then. Regards - Oswald Ryan Mr. Amon Carter Star Telegram Ft.
