Dec 10/73 Dear Mrs. Deakins: Please pardon me for any delay in answering your letter. Eight-five years do not encourage prompt action, I believe. My address is still the same as that of the last eight years: #1601 So. Shepherd St. Apt 23. I still live alone in this apartment and have passed the 85 age mark. I swim every day and have excellent health. Please give my deepest regards to Mr Carter Jr. I shall never forget how in a minor way I helped in locating him when he had disappeared in the midst of war. His father was my real friend whom I shall never forget. And his son greatly resembles him. Very seriously, Oswald Ryan
